DIRTY SLATE
I guess you can say that I still feel bitter
I’ll extend the olive branch into a wood chipper
You’re fixated on who’s to blame
So anxious to spread the shame
We’re dying in search of a higher ground
Gasping for air as we drown
You just can’t wait to cast the first stone
Teetering on your pedestal, waiting to be dethroned
You’re fixated on who’s to blame
So anxious to spread the shame
We’re dying in search of a higher ground
Gasping for air as we drown
We’ve put those days behind us, but you’re always there to remind us
We’ve made our mistakes, we have a dirty slate
Those who live in glass homes
Should watch their back when they throw stones
Made our mistakes, we have a dirty slate
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
UK82-inspired hardcore punk from Christchurch, New Zealand, gruff and fast and economical and, of course, righteously pissed. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 16, 2020
This Spanish punk outfit carries forward an assortment of '80s hardcore influences, leaning heavy on riffs and speed. Pure pogo. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 6, 2017
